Girl’s Talk : The Emo in Me

When it comes to Emo, I guess I attributed the most dramatic role ever since my parents were gone. I was 5 years old when my Mom died and 9 years old when my Father followed, when my father died my sisters sent me to the brother of my father whom I thought could be a second father to me. Although his wife was mean to me but I learned one thing from them and that is to work so hard so I have something to prove in life in the future. I was obliged to wake up around 4:00 a.m., to fill up the bottles of cooking oil in the sari sari store and man the store until late at night. It was then that I realized of how hard it was for not having parents around, I’ll tell you I was really envious with kids who have their parents around, fixing their hair at school, sending them lunch and holding them when it is time to go home.
My sisters took me after the school year ends, they have learned from my other relatives that my life there done me nothing good. College came, we transferred a house where I have to commute for one hour and the fare was a bit expensive than of the house we rented in downtown. Good thing I passed the exam for a scholarship program run by the school I enrolled. My tuition fee was free, they gave us our allowance but it was not enough for my fare or projects yet it never ceased my determination to finish college, I sometimes sell muffins to all my friends, I have asked our scholar coordinator if I could laundry her clothes in return for a fare, and sometimes if I could find some coke bottles inside the canteen, I would return it so they would hand me the deposits. I went through ups and mostly down but I was able to finish my college through my determination, thank GOD the new teacher in-charge of the office I was assigned to helped me a lot, she was the one who supported me financially when one of the heads at the school told her about my problem, she did not hesitate to offer a help. Whenever she just arrives from her tour around US, she never failed to give me some presents and postcards. In some way I was still blessed because GOD made a way for me to achieve my dreams to finish school.
So it is true that when you asked HIM and tell HIM everything he would never leave you in your journey, he may not be beside you but he is just at your back so when you are tired and ready to fall, he will be able to catch and carry you.
