The School Starts On June 13, 2018

The school year just started this Wednesday and I got too busy, although Faith already had a carpool so we don’t need to hop for a Jeepney in the Jeepney stops, I still have to make sure she’s doing okay at her new school. This is already a big school with big class, so expect of 30+ students in the classroom, so while she was riding in a carpool going to school, I hailed a Jeepney with some of her requirements and off I go!

And since they had number of stops to picked more students in our village, I went ahead of her. I was already at school when they arrived, so I guided her to her room. She seems like comfortable already, she saw her classmate from Precious International School. But I know that she’s still finding one classmate whom she will be close with. She tried to communicate with them but to no avail maybe they were just shy of her. Some of her classmates are close to being a teenager and Faith looks like she still in Grade 2.

Her sister was worried when we went there on the 2nd day, because she went to the canteen alone, we waited for her there and Mj noticed she doesn’t have company. I asked Faith if she was bothered and she said confidently not at all. I hope though she can cope up with the subjects especially with Filipino and Aral Panlipunan, although I got her a tutor, I am still worried. I just hope everything will turn out right.

Her New Bag And Books

So we went to SM Ecoland with kids and were checking for school bags for my grader. She is a transfer to where my eldest daughter used to school during her high school. So we need to have a big durable bag for her books and notebooks. See, she has a total of 8 books that she would bring almost every day. I was thinking stroller but she said she’s not a baby anymore and strollers are for babies. So she looked for a bag that suits her. Faith doesn’t like pink or Barbie’s, I guess she is the only girl that doesn’t like Barbie’s or pink colors.  After roaming around the 2nd floor where the bags were placed, finally she was able to choose one and that is the one below.

Stroller Bag Or Backpack?

I am contemplating of buying my youngest daughter a backpack or a stroller bag. I really thought to buy a stroller until I sent a message to my friend whose daughter is also studying at the new school. She said that when her daughter was in grade 5 last year they were not using a stroller bag anymore but a backpack. They felt awkward using stroller bag since they are already little teens and you see, my youngest daughter will be in Grade 5 this school year. Good thing, I did not buy yet when I went to the mall last week. I was actually, until now though contemplating whether to buy a stroller bag or a backpack. You see with her new school they should bring books everyday back and forth so to study in advance to cope up. They are actually strict with academics and grades so Faith needs to do her best. Everyday, ever since I enrolled her to the new school, I kept on talking to her that to do her best with her lessons for her not to be left behind. But anyway going back with stroller bag or backpack, I am still confused! Yeah, I am!  My friend told me that carrying backpacks caused his sister to have scoliosis. And I am afraid since my youngest daughter is very thin she might get that too. Oh God! I hope not! What do you think guys? Should I buy backpack or stroller bag.

New School Again For Her

After thinking a million of times, after checking the pros and cons of either transferring my youngest or not, finally I came up already with a decision. You see, I’d been planning to transfer my youngest since last year, but was not able to do so. When I broke the news to Faith of her transferring to another school, she does not agree with me, she said she will miss her classmates and her teachers but after the moving up day, I was able to convince her to visit some schools, she was having doubts with the first and second option but when we went to SPC. She was amazed with the facilities, the CR and the whole area. She took an entrance exam right away. After the entrance exam we were told to come for an interview last Saturday, she was able to pass both. And today, I finally enrolled her! She said finally we were done all the three steps and we were able to do it smoothly.

I know there will be a lot of adjustment and I am scared and worried but I have faith on Faith. I know with all the backups and support coming from us. I know she can make it. She said though she can’t wait for the class to start. I may have to file a vacation leave on that day so I can go with her on the first day of class. I always thank her previous school Proverbville Christian School for nurturing Faith to become better, I owe you a lot.
