DCAA Swimming Event Videos

We were shouting and screaming when Mj suddenly swam fast on the last lapse. To my excitement, I wasn’t able to capture the last lapse because I couldn’t help jumping and cheering. Here’s the video of her 200 meters individual medley during their DCAA competition.

Here’s the video of her 100M Backstroke:

And the 100 M Freestyle

She got the 7th ranked overall for elementary girls and she’s one of the participants of the upcoming DAVRAA next year. Way to go Mj, no matter what we are always proud of you!

By Cutting It

When I was in college, even though I already had my eyelashes fine, it was not that long or short either yet I get too envious with some students who had their eyelashes so impressively long. So I went ahead and decided to cut my eyelashes because they said if you are going to cut your eyelashes, it will grow more but to my disappointment it didn’t worked for me. Why? Because it would only works for babies, good thing the cut was not that long, so it was not noticeable. Recently, I just read somewhere that the hair of the eyelashes if it will get inside the eyes of the baby, it would irritate him or her and he or she could get infections because of it. So when you cut the eyelashes to make it long, you should be extra careful or to be safe, don’t do it at all, besides there are eyelash growth products available anywhere so when they are matured enough, you can buy some for them. My nieces and kids are gifted because we don’t have to cut their eyelashes short to become long, because their eyelashes are already fine. There are some people who suggested cutting it but I refused because I don’t want to risk their health for any infections they could get by some merely sayings.

DCAA Meet: Congrats Mj!

I just want to congratulate again my daughter Mj for doing a good job in swimming, she won the second place in 200 m IM and second in 100M backstroke and got the third place 100m freestyle on DCAA meet that was held yesterday. She had a close swim with her team mate in 200m individual medley and suddenly she swim passed by her on the last lapse, everyone screamed and shouted, and we got too excited with that event. I can’t help to jump and cheers for my daughter, I am just so proud of her. This is her first competition in DCAA or Davao City Athletic Association, and for me even though she’s still have more to improve with her speed, she just done a very good job. Cheers for you Mj and keep it up!

Enjoying The Show

It was so hot and Faith was dripping sweat all over when we arrived at the Crocodile Park, we roam around the area and she had so much fun looking at some animals especially when the show began, it was a show of varieties of animals yet even it was dreading so hot, my youngest daughter was very attentive with what the host was saying. She ignored the heat of the sun and the sweat; she was so amazed with the show. She finished it until at the very end.
