It Is About Passion And Priorities

I could still remember the quote saying:

It is better to finish and lost the game than to quit in the middle of the game

It could not be only for those sports enthusiasts or for our athletes but we can also apply it in our lives. Problems and trials do exists and we shall never quit. But athletes who goes to school every day and have training after, one should never say never if the sports that they are engaged to, is their passion, they can succeed in both fields.

From elementary, Mj always have a busy schedule, I always told her to that she can’t swim if she will not do good with her studies. She strived hard for it and I was happy to know that her grades were fair enough, not that she would be nominated as valedictorian but enough to make me happy. She stopped for a year, last year when she did not qualify for DAVRAA.

High school is too different from elementary, the teacher will not gonna run after you for you to submit your book reports or projects and this is so new to Mj. She was so lax and mind you, I really did not see her opening her books. Lately I found out that she always left it in the locker, I got so mad especially when I saw her grades.

When her Daddy was here last September, she approached him and asked him if she could get back to swimming. My husband and I talked about it, if it could help her with her studies, why not? I guess swimming is her inspiration or tools to be active both in her studies and swimming. So even though it was hard in my part sending and fetching her at the pool, knowing that the pool is far from where we live, we said yes.

Her latest periodical exam results went good, thank GOD!

It is indeed true that it is somewhat a personal challenge to push yourself to the limit. Who says that athletes are dumb? Yeah I heard that from a friend that mostly swimmers or athletes could not perform well in school, I totally disagree because my daughter could do well in school when she is too busy, when she swims and when she is on training. It is all about passion and priorities; it is about self-discipline and your goal, inspiration perhaps to succeed in both fields.

It is because of them

I could not be a mother without my two precious daughters in my life. My life will never be complete without them. I should be thankful for them for giving me a full of adventures, full of fun, full of joys and full of memories. I always love you Jm and F, and you bear it in your mind that my love for both of you could not be measured, it is as deep as the ocean and it is even higher than the sky above. Thank you for the smiles that you always bring in my heart, your Dad and I, are always proud of you.

Excited and Giggling

I woke up so early today, I immediately heat the water that Mj will going to use, so her water will be warm when she’s taking a bath. She is so excited because their P.E. today is swimming, their teacher in P.E. will teach them how to swim. I know she is already under training for swimming but she can’t just hold the excitement since she will be showing her classmates all the strokes that she learned. According to her teacher since she knows how to swim, she could teach her classmates if she like.
Right after she went off to school, I slept beside Faith. I had quiet a little nap until she gets up. It was already 10:00 a.m., so I feed her quickly. After she had her breakfast, she told me she is ready to take a shower, I let her play the water first for a while, because if I won’t she would cry very hard. After I visited some websites, I checked on her at the bathroom and she was making bubble. She was smiling so wide when she saw me, I bathe her right away. When she’s done, she asked me to turn the TV on so she could watch her favorite program, but there’s no Shaun the Sheep, or Pheneas and Ferb yet she was giggling when the movie “Bolt” is in Disney Channel.

It is Christmas time once again

My eldest daughter starting to love music, she always borrowed my cell phone just to listen music from the MP3. Few years from now, she might probably going to ask me to buy one of her favorite MP3 players, I hope if I bought her one, she would take extra care of it. My two nieces were no longer using theirs; I wonder what happen to their MP3 players that my husband bought for them as a Christmas gift two years back. And speaking of Christmas, when we went to the mall today, I saw a lot of Christmas lanterns and Christmas tree displayed at each of the counters. I really wanted to buy for the house; our home sweet home is empty for now because we did not put up any decorations yet. If I have enough budget I would love to buy those decorations at the mall, how I wish it is sooner since one month to go, it is Christmas time once again.
